1. We are energy efficient. How can we further cut costs? There are many emerging
technologies with proven performance that are not generally known in the
market. Often, these are from product developers that lack the expertise
and capability to get their products known in the mainstream market. Regardless
of how effective you may have been in making your buildings energy efficient,
you can use these technologies to further reduce energy costs, generally
10% to 30%. 2. How is EIG able to find the latest, proven emerging technologies? Consulting engineers,
utilities, contractors, testing laboratories, universities, and end users
advise EIG of product development companies with proven new technologies
that need assistance in getting exposed and known in the marketplace.
3. What special rebates are available and how is EIG able to provide them? The public utility commissions and the utilities in various states contract with qualified energy service companies or major customer segments to become program managers in making special rebate funds available for energy projects. The objective is to develop more effective ways of utilizing rebate dollars and expanding energy efficiency in the marketplace. These special rebates often pay up to 300% of the standard utility rebates. Generally, these programs
are to designed to encourage the use of emerging technologies or to develop
more innovative methods to use rebate dollars. EIG has been contracted
to develop and manage these programs and to also coordinate with other
program managers to bring these special rebates to organizations. 4. How does EIG differ from other companies that provide energy services? EIG is the source for product development companies with new technologies to become known in the marketplace. EIGs management has been known for its specialization in emerging technologies and rebate programs for three decades. EIG evaluates and tests qualifying technologies to assure performance; secures rebate approvals from utilities, and organizes cities, trade associations, and property management companies to inform their businesses of the opportunities. EIG then provides a single source service for companies to identify opportunities in their facilities and coordinates all steps from inception through completion of projects, including rebate handling and financing. 5. How quick of a payback is generally expected with these products? Paybacks generally
range between 12 and 36 months. 7. Are you able to arrange for projects with no cash outlay? For building owners seeking no cash outlay, EIG arranges a variety of flexible no-capital outlay financial programs that can accommodate most company requirements. EIG will determine
which facilities qualify for rebates, arrange for rebate approvals, and
complete paperwork and documentation requirements. 9.
What are the requirements of our personnel? There are no fees for our services. Compensation is received from manufacturers for EIGs role to expand emerging technologies into the mainstream market.
